League Of Legends

Today I will talk about a game called League of Legends.  League of Legends (or LOL for short) is a MOBA style game, which stands for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena.  MOBAs are huge online games which are characterized by a large selection of playable characters and long lasting, intense online game play. Your goal is to destroy the enemy nexus in the enemy base while defending yours in your own base.  You start the round by killing minions and leveling up. When you level up you can upgrade your abilities.  Your abilities are character specific, so an ice archer will have very different abilities than a mage. There are three lanes  all connected to your base, bottom, middle, and top. Between these lanes is the jungle. The jungle is full of monsters that give you and your team buffs. A few of these monsters are The Dragon and Baron Nashor. If you kill the dragon it will provide your team with buffs such as greater ability power and faster movement speed. If you kill Baron Nashor you will get increased attack damage and ability power. In the lanes there are turrets, turrets are big statue looking things that shoot you if you get too close. The turrets guard your lane, as well as your nexus and inhibitor. If you destroy the enemy inhibitor you will get super minions, super minions are stronger and bigger minions.
